Media training for over-18s. Unlocking creativity and confidence, while making radio and podcasts in a studio environment.
Adult Training is open to over-18s, who want to learn new skills or develop existing ones in radio or podcasting.
While learning, trainees can unlock their creativity, build confidence and develop their communication skills. Training is customised to align with each individual's aspirations, with opportunities to learn to be a researcher, writer, producer, presenter, editor or technician.
Trainees make a regular, daily, weekly or monthly commitment and receive free personalised training. They can develop skills, meet new people and contribute to the local community. Sound Vision's inclusive training welcomes adults of all abilities.
Sound Vision provides a warm and welcoming environment, where people can learn but also have fun too. We asked our trainees what motivated them to join Sound Vision, here are some of their responses:
-To try something new.
-To develop radio and podcasting skills.
- To improve employability with new skills and CV experience.
- To make new friends and be a part of something.
- To help others. Radio delivers essential information, and can combat loneliness.
Sound Vision believes in the power of storytelling to heal, educate and inspire.
While training people in audio production, we saw many people taking to the microphone eager for their voices to be heard. We have witnessed first-hand the therapeutic benefits and the sense of empowerment some of our trainees have experienced sharing their stories and expressing their opinions.
